The Bonsai Tree Gardener offers a $1000 gardening scholarship to both graduates and undergraduates who are passionate about gardening. The Bonsai Tree Gardener Scholarship might appeal to you if you are majoring in the following programs:

To qualify for the scholarship, you do not need prior experience in gardening. All you need is the willingness to write an essay on homesteading or gardening. If you feel you meet our requirement,please apply by following the instruction we have listed below.

Participation Guidelines

As a candidate, you are required to perform thorough research and use the information you gathered to write an essay of 1500-2000 words on the best way for people living in urban could adopt a sustainable way of life. In other words, write an essay on the steps people can take to reduce the words carbon footprint. Experts on this subject will assess all submissions and the best will win the scholarship.

Eligibility

To qualify for a Bonsai Tree Gardener Scholarship, you should be a university, college or high school student. In addition, you should follow the stated academic guidelines when writing your essay. The criteria we want to see in your essay include:

How to Apply

The first part of the application process involves writing a 1500 to 2000 word essay on the topic mentioned above. When you are through with the essay, put it in word, adobe or Google Docs and send to [email protected].

In you submission, also include:

  • Your full name, phone number and address
  • Name of institution you attend
  • Proof that you are a student

Deadline

The application deadline is on the 1st of October and winners will be announced on the 20th of October. The awarded amount is purposely for tuition, so the $1000 will be sent out to the winner’s institution in form of a check. Each student is only eligible to apply once during each award period.
